Radiation-induced states of the 2D electron gas

Experiments on the two-dimensionsal electron gas pumped by microwaves have revealed some remarkable new transport phenomena. Aspects of these phenomena were first explained in the paper below, as reviewed in the article by Richard Fitzgerald, Physics Today, 56, April 2003, page 24.
